Bringing people together
The dynamic of construction in Tetovo has created a visible absence of green areas as public spaces where people can gather. Though, there are still dead-end streets like the one that was selected, with the capacity of filling the social needs of locals.
The fundamental idea of this proposition is to bring people of different ages, gender, and marginal groups into one spot, where they can spend time and contribute to the area.
The multifunctional intervention consists of tables, an urban garden, and a playground.
The design is separated into two stories with different purposes. On the ground floor, there are tables, free spaces, and a kitchen where people can eat, drink, celebrate and play with friends even on rainy days because of the construction on the upper floor. On the first floor, there are boxes that the community can use for planting vegetables and fruits.
